Customized Shoe Sample Fee

‘Your sample cost is too high ! ’ We are always told by some new clients when we quote sample cost USD100 to USD200. Sometimes, the cost may be some higher to USD300, considering mold, colors or much more complex structure.?Actually,?for experienced buyers, they will not think so.

When we get a sample order, we will make a sample sheet in Chinese according to the client’s requirement, which can be understood by our sample developing team or our factory.

With the sample detail on hand, firstly, a purchasing people will be sent out to the market to search all the materials needed, color having to be closely matched. The material includes each part of the upper, lining, and accessories like insole, eyelets, laces and so on. If any part of the material color can be not matched, the material have to be dyed. Whats more, even one inch part material is needed for a pair of the sample, the MOQ for fabric or synthetic material is 1-2 yards per color, and normally 5 to 10 inches for leather parts.?

Meanwhile, for cemented shoes samples, the purchasing people have to source out-soles and send back to the sales team for confirmation. After the outs-sole confirmed, it will take 7 to 10 days for out-sole factory to produce the out-soles. Then a matching LAST have to be produced according to the out-sole.??

With the sample out-sole and Last on hand, the pattern maker will spend 1 to 3 days to draw and get paperboard of each parts of the sample shoe.?

According to the paperboard,?with all the material and accessories on hand, one other people from the sample team will compound cut and get each part of the shoe.?

Then, stitching will proceed within 1 to 2 days by one other people.?

After stitching, it come to the last stage --- Assembling. Then we get the expected sample.

In general, the whole process will need paper work from sales team and labor work of 5-6 people from sample team, take about 2 to 4 weeks, consume much more material than the shoe from bulk production. USD100 to USD300 mostly can not cover all the sample cost. Besides, the sample cost can mostly be refunded when place bulk order.?

By the way, when we have too many sample orders on hand to finish in time, we will ask sample developing agent around our factory to help. They charge us USD350 to USD500 per style, 3 colors available. More than we charge from our client. Of course, you can also pay for this service.?
