Let's start off with this question: Are customers' negative reviews final?


The straight answer is NO. Customers can ALWAYS edit their reviews, but the question is WHY SHOULD THEY?

Customer reviews are driven by emotions, and it would be great advice if business owners will also keep their emotions in check when responding to negative customer reviews. Based on an article from ReviewTrackers (link on the comment section), 53 percent of customers expect a response from businesses within 7 days, but 63 percent of these customers claim that the businesses they've left reviews for never responded.

As business owners, our ability to respond to our customers' sentiments, particularly the negative type, will either earn us their trust and forgiveness or the ire of many more.

How does this connect to the quote and picture? Simple! Forgiveness can only be expected if one is humble enough to ask for it, and although, the "past mistake" is already a done deal, future business opportunities abound.

Keep your emotions in check and ALWAYS respond to reviews, both positive and constructive. Everybody wants to be heard, and customers use reviews for that purpose.
