There are so many tech firms with a focus on disrupting one industry to another. But despite the disruptions these tech firms bring, some local businesses don't fold up but rather grow more than ever. Why do you think such things happen?
Some local businesses are always upset when they lose customers to their competition. They think they never advertised more or gave more deals to the customers. Some even go to the extent of labeling the customer as greedy. When I begin to explain you will realize, it is none of the above.
The first principle every worker should know in your business is that the customer is the one who pays the bills. We have all been employed to serve the customer extremely well and if we don't we will lose his business to others.
Another principle to know is that customer loyalty is not built in a day. A company that is loyal to its mission, and beliefs and will go above and beyond for its customers will eventually breed loyalty among its customer base.
Building a community around your business is the best way to stay in business. A community that identifies with your values and mission, and also that which you heavily invest in, will keep the shores of your business safe.
Make it a point to serve your customer well and you will get repeat buyers that will boost your business revenue.
