Customer Service and Business Development go hand in hand
Customer service or lack of it!! I have never posted comments on companies before when my estimator brought this to my attention i thought why not.
We were recently asked by a client to arrange a full damp survey by an independent qualified company, we arranged this and awaited the report and recommendations.
After lots of chasing we received a report which was excellent and a cost with recommendations, as the cost ran into £1000's we asked a very straight forward question asked by anyone receiving a large quotation. Could we please have a breakdown of Labour Plant and Materials, not an unreasonable request.(or so I thought)
After much chasing by my team we received the below response, the rest i think is self explanatory. My estimator has now costed the works and another team will be completing it.

Thank you for your email. If you would like a full breakdown of costs, we do charge for this service. The price is a £75.00 admin fee.
We don't see why you need a full break down anyway we have given you the materials and labour costs. The price is the price. If you would like the damp rectifying correctly then instruct our company to do so at that price. If it's a matter of money then there are plenty of other companies out there.
