Hello everyone. Welcome to the digital marketing world again. In the previous sessions we talked about the digital marketing and digital marketing methods briefly. Hope you are now familiar with digital marketing types.
In this session I hope to describe you about how the marketers can be used different type of digital marketing methods in the customer life cycle.
As we know, four types of stages in the customer life cycle.
Such as,
1. Awareness stage
2. Consideration stage
3. Purchase stage
4. Post purchase stage
This is the time to analyze what are the digital marketing methods most suitable for these for stage.
1. Awareness Stage
In this stage marketers can help increase number of potential customers discover your brand, with the help of content marketing.
In this content marketing, SEO, SEM, SMM these kinds of methods are high priority and Display ads can be defined and low priority method.
Content Marketing – Create high quality content that people are searching for.
SEO – Optimize your website higher ranking on search engines.
SEM – Increase your site’s visibility, advertising in order to drive traffics.
SMM – Promote your products and services your content in SM channels.
2. Consideration Stage
In this stage your customer consider about your product. As digital marketers you should help them to understand how your product value for them.
In this stage E-mail marketing, Mobile marketing, Display ads can be identified as high priority methods and affiliate marketing is low priority method.
E – Mail marketing – You can promote your products and services by sending E-mails direct target the target audience.
Mobile Marketing – Promote your products and services by sending relevant massages to your target audience.
Display ads - Re targeting your audience to increase recall value of your brand.
3. Purchase stage
In here marketers should give prospects an offer and help to make a purchase.
E-mail marketing, mobile marketing, SMM and Display ads show high performances in this stage and affiliate marketing not important in this stage also.
E – Mail marketing – You can plan your campaigns around targeting potential customers and also product recommendation E-mails important to this stage.
SMM – Marketers can re targeting and also helpful to convert prospects into potential customers.
4. Post purchase stage
In here you should build long term relationships with your customers. If you hope to build up more and more loyal customers into your brand, this stage will be most important to you.
E-mail marketing, Mobile marketing, social media marketing and content marketing is important to this stage and affiliate marketing is also not important in this stage.
E – Mail marketing – You can engage customers with follow up E – mails. And also important customer care content.
