Custom Stormwater Detention Tanks

One of our great civil engineering clients had a challenge providing stormwater detention volume in the underground parking area of a high rise building. Usually the only option is a poured concrete tank or bolted steel cylindrical tank. Cylindrical tanks are not very space efficient and concrete tends to develop cracks. The option we suggested was to build custom tanks from our structural plastic panels. These panels allow us to build rectangular tanks of various sizes. The tank shown is approx. 10' wide x 16' long x 6.5' high. The capacity is roughly 20,000 L. We are providing two tanks of this size to fit the available space.

This photo shows tank #1 complete and undergoing a 24 hour hydro test. The tank is filled to the top of the fittings. Tank # 2 is under way and should be complete in another week or so. These custom options will help address a wide range of applications for storm water management and rainwater harvesting in high rise buildings.
