The average cost of an English home has breached the £?m mark for the first time, but transactional activity at the end of 2019 is expected to be at an all-time low. In new homes markets, our analysis has shown a recent cooling in housing starts, with Birmingham being the biggest victim of the chronic under-supply affecting most core English cities. Prime London prices have heled steady since the beginning of Autumn, with rapid rental inflation in outer prime London markets.
