When Dubai was awarded the Expo 2020 in the year 2013, for a commoner like me, it was to be just another event. Little did I know the title EXPO would today be the Buzz Word, a BRAND, an EVENT that the world would now look forward to.
Thank you Dubai!
One could argue, it's the reach one has through today's humongous social media platform, but that argument belittles if one knows that the EXPO is held every 5 years, and so, what about all the years behind that still had the tools required to promote.
Nobody can deny the excellence and skill that the Administration of Dubai has when it comes to taking literally 'anything' to a next level, perhaps twice-up at a time, and DUBAI EXPO 2020 was no different. With nearly 13 million visitors physically, millions more beyond virtually, the Dubai Expo 2020 was a SUCCESS, beyond a doubt - a organizer's dream, a country's pride and a BRAND established.
It's a shame, I personally could not make it - but thanks to the visionary leaders of Dubai, structure will remain for tourists to visit and experience despite the curtains falling down.
