Curriculum is the same It is the way you teach what makes the difference

Reading about designing and implementing curriculum nowadays I came across a very interesting quote. I am going to paraphrase it as I can't remember it literally. It says that what makes some countries better than others in education is not the taught curriculum. We came to a point that all countries teach almost the same content no matter what curriculum they follow. This is due to the international standards followed in each subject. What makes the difference is the instruction and the way we teach this content. Here, we need to focus on a very important aspect in teaching. It is the "how" what counts, not the "what". Our school leaders need to work on improving the teachers' pedagogical practices in-order to affect the learning process positively. Moreover, our parents should stop arguing and comparing the schools based on the curriculum they follow. It is not the American, or the English, nor the IB curriculum. It is simply the approach these schools are using to teach your child the curriculum.

Dear Salah, What you have mentioned is due to the hidden curriculum that is affected by individuals' ideologues...as educators and education leaders we should be aware of these perspectives and orient the hidden curriculum to create moderate students and avoid the brain wash of our students by the name religion and politics.
