Six Proven Opportunity Rich Trends

Current Trends

I am seeing and taking advantage of some of the current trends mentioned below. You can also participate in those and move your future forward if you choose to.

After 25 years of business, marketing, sales, people development, real estate, leadership, and e -comm work, I can make this statement with reasonable assurance that there is never a shortage of opportunity. The challenge always is if you are in a position to take advantage of what's available.

The good news is that almost anyone can get into a place to take advantage of the opportunities of today.

Let's look at six trends that I see being rich in opportunities; later, I will talk about how I positioned myself to be in the game and how you can do the same to take advantage of these options.

1.?????Companies are going direct

Companies are going direct to the grassroots in the consumer communities. Almost entire industries are dropping the old, heavy, and clunky, top-down distribution systems and opting for new collaborative methods of getting products into consumers' hands. Examples of this phenomenon are companies like Tesla, Apple, Air B&B etc. These companies are some of the biggest in their arenas, yet they don't have the distribution load like some older companies. Being nimble and lightweight are significant business advantages in today's day.

There are significant opportunities if you become one of the direct channels in the community for successful companies. Not only can you stay light in business, but you also appeal to companies' thirst for straightforward reach to the consumer.

?2.?????Capitalize on Basic, pre-existing, self-renewable consumer needs

The adage of you having to develop a unique product that no one has thought about making in business is not true today. If you keep waiting for the "Unique Idea" to download into your brain, you can be waiting all your life. You do not need to come up with a particular product nowadays. There is enough business in the products that are already developed. The key is recognizing that profits over coolness are the way to go for the products. You can do well if you can go in an opportunity strengthened with basic consumable needs and offers unique, value-filled consumable products. There is a lot of profitability in those lines.

Four significant renewable consumer needs are Health, Self-Care, Environment-friendly homes and Mobile edibles. Health covers people wanting to be healthy and wholesome. Self-care is about looking after yourself with skincare, cosmetics, and hair care lines; environment-friendly home-related products are chemical-free and clean our homes, including water and air. Mobile edibles are the products you buy and use and pick up on the go, like a bottle of water, a protein shakes at the gym or a bar for a snack. Etc.

Every big company wants a piece of these pies; if you can partner up with a company that offers better quality, better value, and exclusivity in these lines, you want that.

?3.?????Relationships create opportunities

Successful entrepreneurs who have done well for themselves are open to coach and mentoring others' like never before. Vested partnerships are being created. Active business owners sponsor new business owners to develop partnerships with global companies. Finding people who have done it for themselves and care enough to teach you what they have done is the golden key. You don't need all millionaires to be your mentors; those who are a couple of steps ahead can help you significantly. Don't get fogged with having to like the individual to lead you; look behind them and see whom they can connect you to. Your goal is to look at the lifestyle of those you want mentorship from and see if you want that life for yourself. What if you have not found worthwhile people in your current relationship? It's time to upgrade the crowd around you and go out there to seek new relationships.

?4.?????Partnership-based businesses are booming

There was a time and a day when solo businesses were very desirable. The competition was high and everyone ran their own mile. That, however, is now changed to partnership-based businesses. Nowadays, groups of like-minded people seek to partner with each other for support and learning yet build their businesses independently. Everyone benefits financially from these types of ecosystems. Old-style thinkers sometimes write this idea off, saying I want to do something alone. My thought is, why go suicide with you can succeed? Pun intended!

?5.?????New-era concepts

I call them new-era concepts laughingly. What successful businesses are doing today is actually something quite old, like how about as old as commerce itself. Those who succeed use the old sound principles in a modern way. And long, behold, those ancient proven principles are creating so much success that entrepreneurs are screening libraries for the old proven principles they can pick and apply. These new-era concepts (read old proven principles) have been around for hundreds of years in old shirts and have worked like magic. They will continue working like magic in tuxedos and e-suits. Don't stop looking at an opportunity because it's based on old principles. If their values are proven, they are golden.

More success is being seen today from the "New Old."

?6.?????Success in your failures

If you have always succeeded at everything you did, you are a rare breed. Most successful people really only succeeded 2-3% of the time, did ok at about 15-20% and were miserable at the rest of the 70-80%. If you are too hard on yourself, please don't be. Straighten your back, chin up and go toward the direction of your dreams.

Don't throw away the old experiences that didn't work in their entirety. There were pieces in that work that were successful. Take those pieces or success and put them to use in your new arenas.

Maybe you tried a business idea before and failed miserably, and perhaps you have Aunt Dorothy was a pain to get rid of trying to sell you her magic cream and you never ever wanted to do anything even remotely close to face creams because of that.

The point is that you may create a lot of success if you try looking at your failures and experiences objectively. Everyone who succeeded has failed, been doubted, and heard horror stories from their friends and family. Find the comfort in being uncomfortable around your failures. I am sure there are successful opportunities hidden in your fears and losses.
