CURRENT TRAVEL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS

Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Answer calls and emails promptly from clients who are requesting new travel arrangements or changes to existing itineraries and provide prompt customer service.
  2. Book and issue airline, hotel, car and other tour reservations through our GDS system, accurately and efficiently.
  3. Maintain sufficient account knowledge to assist clients without delay.
  4. Keeps current directory of hotels, motels, and timetables, and answers inquiries concerning routes, fares, and accommodations.
  5. Check queue’s daily to ensure accuracy and that all issued tickets are complete.
  6. Communicate effectively with other agents or team members to solve problems and gather information.
  7. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  8. Research complex travel rules and regulations for each client.
  9. Research and handle traveler complaints.
  10. Provide travel expertise to clients.
  11. Follow Duluth Travel approved work process.
  12. Work on multiple contracts as necessary within reason.

  12. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education/Experience

  1. Working knowledge of Worldspan, Sabre and Apollo GDS System, with minimum 3 years’ experience with a system.
  2. Understanding of International travel requirements, visas, passports.
  3. Understanding of the Federal Travel Regulations, Fly America Act and Open Skies Agreement
  4. Proficient with city, airline, hotel and car rental codes.
  5. Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  6. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
  7. Strong organizational skills.
  8. Ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service, internally and externally.
  9. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  10. Willingness to demonstrate professional conduct at all times.
  11. Excellent computer and typing skills, which includes the ability to navigate between programs quickly by using shortcut keys.
  12. Ability to identify a problem and see it through to resolution with minimal supervision.
