Current Situation in Pakistan and a Palatable Solution:-

Let's argue with a good intent and wisdom as taught by Allah SWT; reference Surah An-Nahl, verse no.125 by analyzing historical facts and by taking guidance from Shariah rather than just making emotional statements.

Pakistan came into being as an ideological Islamic State. Therefore, we are doing wrong by supporting democracy, because it is neither as per Shariah laws nor it can provide socioeconomic justice to the masses. The constitution clearly says that lawmaking must be done as per message of Quran & Sunnah. So either our lawmakers are ignorant or they have developed worldly interests. Islam teaches us not to abuse and / or call names, therefore we must decently address the issues by following the truthful path.

Here it is pertinent to mention that Muslims of Sub-Continent made a promise to Allah SWT, when they initiated the struggle. Pakistan Resolution clearly stated that Muslims want a separate homeland, where they could fashion their lives as per teaching of Islam. But upon independence, we have forgotten that promise. Hence, we are being punished for the last 75-years and I strongly believe that these trial will continue, unless we accept to obey by commandments of Allah SWT & Prophet Muhammad SAW (reference; Surah An-Nisa, verse no.59).?????????????????????

In Islam, there is a system of ‘selection’ or meritocracy, and not elections; Allah SWT says, ‘the blind cannot be equal to the seeing' (Surah Al-Anam, verse no.50). Hence one man, one vote and a party-based system doesn't fit in Islamic scheme of things. A pious (perhaizgar) person will remain in top echelon of a society regardless of his color, caste and creed. But unfortunately, in democracy it is the same the criteria for every party i.e. (i) candidate should either be an electable (ii) or should have deep pockets (iii) or should possess a big mouth to malign opposition party members and (iv) or should be a yes-man; accepting everything i.e. even if something lack in values etc.

Above is not Islamic code of conduct and anyone breaching it must not be supported. Unfortunately, today the society has degraded to the lowest ebb. The majority of politicians, businessmen, bureaucrats, high ranking army officials, professionals, religious scholars and even general public; in short whosoever gets an opportunity have become materialistic. Therefore, the sole objective is to make money for themselves and for their families by formulating self-serving laws and keep those rules flimsy, which may catch them in future. Hence, it is essential to bring all regulations as per laws prescribed by Quran & Sunnah.

Since the majority is merely striving for worldly attractions, therefore it has weakened the faith. Prophet Muhammad SAW said, 'Faith and greed cannot co-exist in a human heart (Sahih Muslim). The society has gradually slumped down to the lowest. A significant change came after 1988; not that there was no corruption before or during the period, but it became rampant thereafter. The musical chair of late 1980s & 1999s broke all previous records. That is why all four elected governments were dismissed due to massive corruption and breaching rule of law. That is why martial law was welcomed by the people in 1999. The first two years of it were brilliant, because it involved technocrats. But unfortunately, the leader wanted to be a democrat and shook hands with a few electables, which resulted in the downfall.???????????????

Thereafter it has again been the same story; indeed ‘democracy is the best revenge’ and it continues to take it from people of Pakistan. The cabinet and politicians of 2018 government too brought the same people in power (as mentioned above i-iv), therefore the results were also the same. The best period of it was when services of a technocrat were engaged during Covid, but then he was ousted on the pressures of businessmen, who wanted undue favor in the name of fostering the wheel of economy.

In view of the above, I sincerely wish to make a plea to; seasoned politicians, religious scholars, senior government officials and professionals to come close in humility to design a roadmap / a guideline to transform political, economic, social & family systems sas per laws of Quran & Sunnah. The undersigned keeps making endeavors to emphasize that the panacea to all our woes is in strict following of Shariah laws to protect and revive progress in our beloved country. Instead, in the following of man-made models, which are designed for the powerful; to help them make money, to control the masses and to protect them from all kind of adversities.

I believe that the primary objective of armed forces must ensure defense and protection, as otherwise no progress can take place in a chaotic environment. While the government must be run on meritocracy rather than by electables. Only in this manner, we will satisfy the meaning of 'Kiset' (the word in Al-Quran for ‘justice’) to ensure socioeconomic justice for the masses, which is the goal of an Islamic society and that's what a leaders of the society must strive for! ?
