Company of the week: Artemis Technologies

Our highlighted Company of the Week is Artemis Technologies who are a clean maritime technology company that develop commercial vessels which produce zero emissions.

As the leading company of maritime engineering, Artemis utilise their specialist expertise to provide tailored services to both high performance and commercial clients, as well as developing products like their transformative Artemis eFoiler? Electric Propulsion System.

The boats developed by Artemis are electric and run from their 320KW charging power stations, these stations allow their 12 metre vessels to achieve a full charge in under 60 minutes whilst also emitting low noise making them suitable for installation in mixed-use and residential areas.


The Latest in EV

The EV industry continues to grow and evolve, with numerous companies making big news. Here are the latest developments in the world of EV:

?? StoreDot and Polestar showcased the World’s First Electric Vehicle that can be charged in 10-minutes. The battery pack powered by StoreDot's high energy silicon-dominant energy cells in the Polestar 5 prototype went from 10% to 80% in under 10 minutes, you can see the demo here.

?? Tesla has let go its entire Supercharger division adding to the recent cuts. Tesla has over 50,000 Superchargers around the globe making it the world’s largest fast-charging point for EVs.

?? Mercedes-Benz is planning to dramatically increase the range of its new electric G-Class with a new type of?battery chemistry earmarked for production in just two years.?The new silicon-anode battery is currently in an advanced stage of development with help from American company Sila Nanotechnologies. Mer cedes-Benz is hoping to get the G-Class’s range from the battery to near 400-miles.

?? The EU would need to impose huge tariffs of about 50% to stem the flow of cheap Chinese Electric Vehicles. Expectations estimate the European Commission to impose duties in the 15% to 30% range which is unlikely to generate a loss in profit margins.

?? Stellantis boss slams ‘terrible' UK electric vehicle policy which is threatening to bankrupt carmakers. The UK’s quota regime which requires manufacturers to meet EV sales targets that rises annually was set at double the natural demand of the market, meaning carmakers would potentially have to sell at a loss to make profit.

?? Volkswagen EVs orders in the European market has doubled with the German Automobile maker committed to making its future lineup entirely of EVs. Per CFO & COO Arno Antlitz “The future will be electric, this is our conviction”.
