If you know me, you know I am naturally extroverted; the gift of gab. It has helped me embrace uncertainty and explore into unknown spaces.
I firmly believe business development is a skill, and like all skills, it is one that must be practiced. The following are key foundational components:
Put yourself in new situations where you have the opportunity to meet new people.
When you meet new people, create a personal connection. Ask about their passions, family, favorite food. It doesn't have always be about work. People work with people they trust, and people trust those they like, be likeable by finding a commonality.

As your network grows, you must continue to feed your relationship with social interaction virtual, in-person, or otherwise. Find a way to be present in their reality. Over time, you will find you belong, you will find a tribe, and the ecosystem will grow.
Overall, these things are like the trifecta of happiness and success. Without them, you're basically just a lone wolf wandering the streets, trying to find a pack to join (but failing because you have no connections). So don't be that wolf - build those networks, find your community, and nurture those relationships!
