Cure All - What's Needed Inside - by C. Wade Spencer

Cure All

I recently read an article about Dr. Gupta’s assertion regarding a self-proclaimed effective approach to battling cancer; it required eliminating all sugar and adding lemon juice to a cup of hot water; consuming the concoction as a warm beverage. Having no luck finding any supporting research that this homeopathic prescription would cause cancer cells to die of natural causes, I was left to wonder about so much of the folklore, urban legend, and old wives’ tales we so-easily cling to without a moment’s consideration. Why do we do it? Because it’s easy; fitting the three minutes a day invested into our spiritual walk.

“Okay, here we go.” That’s what you were thinking, right? No one likes being preached to; especially those opting out of regular religious worship services. Cue the insufferable list of screen credits (reasons) feeding passed like a 1950’s Hollywood film; some validated by experiences; some offered just to get me down the road to the neighbor’s house to sell Almighty You-Know-Who. Whatever your chosen response might be, a spiritual center is still needed for a sense of completion. Ask anyone on their deathbed what’s important; it’s certainly never been that missed High School party, or winning some prize that began attracting dust on a shelf two minutes after arriving home from the acceptance ceremony. It’s always spending time relating to others; those most important us; or doing something of deeper purpose.

What vacuous rationalization is holding you up? Say it out loud; even if only to yourself.  If you can’t be honest about it now, what’s going to change that? Do you really intend to wait to your last breath before getting at the facts of life?

Why are you here? What’s your purpose? Are you living that purpose? If you can’t answer these questions then get uncomfortable; really uncomfortable; really fast. If there is anything that scoots a person along quicker than being dislodged from a cocoon I haven't a clue what it could be.

A free spirit doesn’t need safety. It’s eternal like energy. Stop trying to protect your soul. Set it in motion. Do it now!
