We were delighted to win 'micro business of the year' in the 2022 Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

It was the process of being a finalist and the questions which we were asked that taught us the most. A number of questions were asked about our development, risk management, pipeline, and financials; all of which are good things to think about and reflect on

Our three biggest takeaways were:

According to US marketing agency Dept only 16% of the 2000 people surveyed understand what the metaverse is.

?How about you??Could you define it??How will it impact your business?

?According to the Harvard Business Review the metaverse is defined as:

a network of 3-D virtual worlds where people can interact, do business, and forge social connections through their virtual “avatars.” Think about it as a virtual reality version of today’s internet.

The article concludes that businesses that can speedily pivot to embrace the metaverse will have a distinct advantage over those that are slower to adapt. Secondly, that the metaverse will be effective if it is utilised as a tool for both employee engagement and experiences, not for observing staff in a big brother-like way. Thirdly, any metaverse-based tasks should offer similar experiences that employees have in gaming.
