Cup of Coffee

From time to time We should invite ourself for a nice cup of coffee to spend some quality time in reviewing & analyzing our journey for the sake of learning.?

I decided to summarize some of those meetings in series of articles under the name of (cup of coffee) for the following reasons:

• To document them for myself and my kids
• Aiming to add some value for some people from my network

The main lessons learnt after almost 3 decades into business;

• Time Vs. Value :

1- We shouldn’t spend too much time doing the same thing without creating a new challenge.

2- Taking fast decision is not always right and moving slowly in business is always wrong. Balance is required between time of taking decision and the proper thinking to take the right decision.?

3- We shouldn’t wait too long to admit our mistakes and to take the corrective actions even with some delay on the short term plans.?

• No pain No gain:

1- We shouldn’t count too much on our successful history to support our current presence or the future objectives.

2- We should never stop learning new things and never stop learning from our mistakes.

3- Fighting against your short term demands is sometimes healthy for your career

4- Taking some calculated risks is a must in some situations

• The culture of Difference:

1- We should respect the others' recommendations and choices, there is always another point of view.?

2- Nothing wrong to consider the people culture in your handling for the same situation with different people

• Trust in others:

1- We should never trust the selfish people or the ones wearing different masks.?

2- Not every one in a senior role is a leader so don’t expect leadership behaviors from all senior positions.?

3- We should never?trust liars, bluffers and arrogant people

• U-Turn:

1- We should always think of plan B and be ready with alternatives.?

2- It is never too late to have a new start.
