The Culture Of Work
We pride ourselves in our agility as a company, this means putting people ahead of process. It’s this agility that? allows our company to move away from antiquated ways of working and into the new era of getting things done. At the end of the day it's people who get things done. It's people who solve problems, look to the future and create culture.?
“Strict processes cannot survive in a fluid world. Things, ways of working and people are in constant motion and as a result, require businesses to adapt” - Joss Myers (MD Barrows)
Agile work comes from agile people. Our people's ability to adapt to change ensures the success of our business as a whole.??
Our environment isn't for everyone, as a lack of process can seem like chaos to an outsider. But to them we say “Join us, get stuck in, we’re sure something great will happen”.?
We encourage everyone to play, go out of your day and approach problems with a different angle.?
Playing in the workplace is a growing trend within successful workplaces. Organisations who engage in the creative abilities of their employees, recognise that these moments of creativity and work aren’t commanded, they are stimulated.?
“It’s about the people you have, how you’re led, and how much you get it. – Steve Jobs in Fortune, Nov. 9, 1998.”
Other than seeking those with an entrepreneurial spirit . We back those in our organisation who come up with new ideas. If you think you've got the “next big thing” awesome! We will back you and the success of your project within our business.?
Success is born from failure. We back those who try; those who are willing to fail otherwise we have failed as a whole.? Studies show that the combination of innovation, creativity and risk-taking are essential parts of growth. This brings higher productivity levels, efficient problem solving and fresher ideas.?
Our working environment has evolved with our people and the business. We believe that innovation happens in the hallways, which is why our offices are skillfully built to accommodate and harness that. Conversations, play, a work-life balance and encouraging innovation are a few ways in which we consistently move retail and our partners forward.?
“Some of the greatest ideas have come serendipitously.” - Mat Barrow?

3 年Love this. Thanks for sharing. Culture is king. If your team is engaged and feels respected and appreciated, it's only natural that we enjoy working everyday. The rest falls into place! Old school micromanagement coupled with process for process sake is a culture killer in a creatively dependant industry.
