The Culture Within Us

Guiding Visionary Leaders Through the Gift of Transition to the Freedom of Transformation. Challenging existing paradigms, discovering innovative solutions, and honoring value-driven leadership for success on all levels.
We read or hear a lot about culture within the organization.
Is it employee centered? Customer centered? Profit centered? Service centered? And so on. The organizations we work in, or have founded, usually reflect a great deal about who we are as a founder, or what we are willing to tolerate as an employee, whether we realize it or not. The stated mission and vision were crafted but are they lived and/or reflective of how you live??
One sure way to find out, is in questioning if the culture within us, rather than simply being informed and fed by this external culture around us, is being constantly transformed or expanded on a daily basis, by both the inner values we chose to personify and the world we find ourselves in.?
Unless we have a daily practice of reflection, meditation, or prayer, we can easily lose sight of what truly motivates us and calls us to our higher selves. Without such a practice, staying reactionary, in our heads, or guided by your schedules, seems to be far more the chosen way of life.? In those circumstances, the persona and values we reflect come from a place of survivorship and struggle rather than from a joyful, expansive, and powerful place of self-definition and honoring.?
I say this because, frequently when we speak to someone, if asked, they will describe themselves and their values in such a way that you would never recognize them as being part of this person you know and are talking to. They speak of values they like but don’t necessarily reflect. So often, any one of us can believe that we are putting a certain, refined, and defined, persona out there when in fact that is an illusion.?
Do you believe you are grounded and reflective, yet others see you as rushed and?overwhelmed? Do you see yourself as somewhat laid-back and kind yet slightly exacting, while others see you as intense and intimidating? Knowing yourself, acknowledging who you would like to be, the traits you would like to own, is a wonderful first step in your own evolution. However, also acknowledging who you currently are, and the energy and presence you currently put out, provides you a clear picture of potential discrepancy and where growth is needed.??
When the culture within you reflects the values, beliefs, and focus you are consciously working with and you can own them, your ability to impact and influence the culture around you is exponentially increased. You are also then living in your own truth with an eye on who you are becoming while putting out to the world that this is who you are, and how you see the world and your place in it.?
All of culture impacts us, yet the culture within defines us more than wishes and hopes do. It reflects the conscious choice of who we are and who we are becoming. It feeds the actions that move desires into reality, allowing us to become the person we truly intend to be. Recognize that being fully aware is well worth the investment...
