Culture Project Rejects Censorship!
The resilience of Culture Project and the International Human Rights Arts Festival to stand up to the censorship proposed by Archbishop Dolan and relocate in two days to St. Ann and Holy Trinity Church with their blessing demonstrates the absolute need for freedom of speech and equal rights that are constantly under threat and direct assault. The first people to be closed down, shut out, imprisoned, and killed in any fascist society which honors censorship, bigotry, and racism are the artists, the media, and teachers. Everyone associated with Culture Project and IHRA knows this. It was an evening of brave performances, power, and beauty.
