THAT IS THE CULTURE & PHILOSOPHY

Mostly hard wood as well as engineered wood furniture have the convinence to tie the price tags on them. It easily captures the attention of customers and gives them clear information about price and other details, so that customers are able to take correct decission. On the other hand furniture items like couch sofas, fully upholstered sofas, divan sofas and some others, displayed in our store didnt have the convinence to hang, tie or pin the price tag on them. Pinning the tags may cause damage to the letherite or fabric (outer cover). So we tucked the tags either in cohesive end of the seat and backrest or the cohesive end of the seat and the hand rest of the furniture. Usually customers,mostly children have the tendency to pick the tags, as they are just tucked in and leave them carelessly on other furniture back and forth. This confused, prices of products back and forth, spoilling our good will among customers. To adress this bigger concern, we had to check for the isuue now and then, in daily basis.

One day while I was checking the accounts, I noticed an amount of 6000 rupees was returned to a customer. On enquiry I was told that, the amount was disbursed on demand by one of my junior sales executive. A customer of our's, paid his bill fully and the product was delivered. After that, the particular executive noticed, the price was confused due to tags placed back and forth, hence billed extra.

I felt happy and proud as my employees took decission in favour of customer even without my concurrence . This stands as an outstanding example of how customer centricity works among the work force of our company. This incident boosted my self esteem, because my team, resonated the value system and philosophy which I inculcated. The customer thanked us and expressed his extreme happiness on our gesture. As a customer centric business owner, I consider the customer's appreciation and satisfaction as a gem for our crown. After that incident we gave up this method of tagging system and adopted a new method by which we could resolve the challenge for ever.
