"Culture eats strategy for breakfast, Operational Excellence for lunch, and everything else for Dinner", interestingly quoted isn't it ? Culture, can be found in every aspect of our life whether we are in personal or a professional form. But what is culture?.
Like any other corporate professional, I am an employee too who often thinks the real essence of culture, but never found one concrete answer to it. Culture has different versions of explanation as per the perceptions build by the other professionals.
Today, I would like to share my glimpse of the culture that my company follows, which I really enjoy and feel proud about it. This culture was started by my company's Chief Executive Officer & Chief Designing Officer of YUJ Designs, in the year 2009. The thought process behind this idea was every employee, should catchup once a week on a platform to learn and discuss about our profession, market, skills and competencies. This whole idea goes by the name TGIF.

TGIF serves a great platform to be a speaker as well as a bucket of learning source which can shared amongst our colleagues. This became a classic example when TGIF as an initiative was converted into our forever lasting culture, by people, for the people. This culture is running with 100% consistency in my company since 11 years. I was quite amazed to see that every employee actively participates, and imbibes within this cultural aspect. I am proud to be associated with such strong culture.
Culture isn't just one aspect of the game - it is the game. In the end, an organisation is nothing more than the collective capacity of its people to create value. The stronger the culture, the less corporate process a company needs. When the culture is strong, you can trust everyone to do the right thing. A company culture is a religion, not a sermon, it is the only sustainable competitive advantage that is completely within the control of the entrepreneur. Let's all join hands together and create a culture, by people, for the people.
