Culture is King
Today, The Williamson Group (TWG) launched its annual campaign in support of the United Way. We are a CARING company...but doesn't everyone say that?
So what is so special about TWG? I think it's that we hire for culture--focusing on the 3 C's. Caring for our clients, our colleagues, and our community. If you can't give of yourself for your community, and for those with whom you work, you will not be able to deliver the required level of service for our clients.
At TWG, culture is King. This is so ingrained within our organization, that it is a part of our interview process. When we are speaking with prospective employees, we make a point of having a conversation about community. Invariably, we talk about the United Way. As a team, we have achieved a great deal, and I couldn't be more proud of my team. TWG has achieved 100% employee participation in our United Way campaign (employee contributions) for 16 years in a row. This is no easy feat for a firm of over 80 employees. It demonstrates leadership in, and commitment to the communities in which we live, work, and play -- and more importantly, it is just who we are.
Wish us luck on 17 years in a row! And to each of you, I urge you to start your own 100% challenge. Get all of your employees on board. A little will go a long way, and help so many.
