In March of 2022 I faced a dilema. My Amazon Guy was growing so fast that I couldn't hire enough qualified people. So I turned to a Big Hairy Audacious Goal:
Hire 100 people in 30 days.
But how? Culture Index.
Culture Index is a behavioral assessment tool designed to analyze and measure the unique cultural dynamics within an organization. It focuses on identifying the innate qualities, work styles, and behaviors of individuals to help leaders make better-informed decisions related to hiring, team building, and overall company management. The tool is based on the idea that people possess inherent and unchangeable traits that affect their job performance and compatibility within a specific organizational culture. It only takes 5-8 minutes to answer 2 questions.

We screened thousands of applications and used CI to figure out who we wanted to interview. About 65% of candidates were knocked out by CI speeding up the process. We chased a couple of key personality profiles that we knew were a strong fit at MAG based on past success. Then started sending dozens of internship job offers daily.
A year later I look back and say that was the most succesful people hiring manuever of my career as well as the organization. Most of the interns became full time staples at My Amazon Guy. And we created a new workforce no one else in the Amazon services industry could tap.
I then had a new problem. How do I train 100 interns?
I then made MAG-School.com and made new hires complete self training modules in SEO, PPC, Design, and Catalog work. I specialized the new hires when possible, and threw them into the deep end of tasks. It worked beautifully and it only took about 30 days to see a return on our investment.
