Culture Forecast: The 60-Day Forecast Is Calling For Scattered Upheaval and Big Changes Regarding International Trade
Election Chaos Is Likely To Be A Few Isolated Events: Not A National Emergency And Definitely NOT A Civil War.
Let’s break down why, by the numbers:
Sixty-days (60) from now we will be two-weeks into a new President elect (Assuming there is no recount or other delays). In light of the chaos following our last Presidential Election, many people are wondering, who will win and what will the fallout be from this pivotal moment in our Country’s history.
My Theory: By my estimate, and it’s purely an estimate, we have a combined approximately 60%-70% of the total electorate holding moderate views for both parties combined. ?This equates to 30-40% of the country holding at least somewhat extreme views on both sides of the aisle. Of this 30-40% however, I’d say only about 1% of both Republicans and Democrats are willing to take to the streets to enter into a protest which may involve physical conflict. Most of this 30-40% just enjoy posting their non-sense online, seeking ears sympathetic to their POV and yelling at the TV.
That said, I am expecting isolated incidents in geographical locations corresponding to where those people burdened by their extreme views live in higher concentrations. These protests could last up to seven days but will be closely controlled by Law Enforcement. I do not envision another breach of the Capitol or other Government Buildings. I am fairly certain there will be better security programs in place this time.
International Trade Policy Is Going To be Changing Significantly
The Election Is Bringing Radical Change To Our Trade Policy, With Two Different Scenarios In Play:
?
Scenario #1: Harris Wins The Election:
In this scenario, The Trump Tax Plan which expires in 2025 will see a raise in taxes, certainly at the corporate level and maybe across the board. The projected rise in tax revenues will also result in a cutting of ‘punitive’ tariffs against countries like China. This will likely improve relations with our international trading partners.

Scenario #2: Trump Wins The Election:? In this scenario, Trump would renew or revise and renew his current tax plan and continue the protectionist tariff policy we saw during his first term. In fact, Trump has stated that he will add additional tariffs against trading partners like China. Raising tariff’s on a country frequently results in that country raising tariffs against the USA. The result would be a trade war, which will increase tensions and burden economies with higher prices to both manufacturers/distributors/retailers, as well as consumers. We may also see increased inflation due to raised tariffs. Raising the tariffs may also assist certain USA industries, such as Steel and Automotive.
