Culture, creatvity, toursim and heritage

How can creatives help boost tourism? The theme of a specific strand of seminars at XpoNorth, Scotland's leading Creative Industries conference and showcase - Inverness 27th and 28th June 2018.

Whilst tourism and heritge are not new topics at XpoNorth, this is the first time we have had a strand of seminars and keynotes, specifically targetting this theme. Really excited about this as it will cover everything from co-creation of narratives for visitor attractions, remote participation - recognising and engaging with the huge audience that haven't visited yet, the use of AR and VR, the value of cultural facilities and presenting cultural heritge in a way that engages locals and visitors.

The seminars, sponsored by Creative Scotland, are on 28th June in Eden Court Theatre. The full programme is available at www.xponorth.co.uk and speakers include:

Antonio Carlos Ruiz Soria, Economía Creativa Consultancy; Joe Gibbs, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival; Mark Stewart, EventScotland; Mattieu Raoult and Dr Stephanie Vergnaud, Louvre - Lens; Arwen Fitch, Tate - St Ives; Michlle Fisher, Philadelphia Museum Of Art; Dave Vincent, Invest NI and Tourism NI; David Dunn, 442 Design; Chris Taylor, VisitScotland; Jacob O' Sullivan, Museums and Galleries Scotland; Dr Thea Stevens and Prof Ken Neill, Glasgow School of Art; Colin Simpson Highland Council; Jessica Fox, writer, director, producer; Darach MacNaught, Duexality; Dougal Perman, Inner Ear
