I’ve recently been working on (proofreading and project managing) my seventh Cultural Gifts Scheme & Acceptance in Lieu annual report for Arts Council England. Each year, the publication showcases all the amazing artworks, important property and historic archive material given to the nation to be shared with the public in galleries, museums and stately homes. The 2019/20 report brings together 52 such cases, together worth nearly £65 million. This time, I learnt lots about the Bloomsbury Group and fancy a trip to Vanessa and Clive Bell’s house, Charleston, and its garden in Sussex. Read the AIL report here.
