Culture Change
There is nothing permanent, except change. - Heraclitus
There are lots of Changes happening around us. Due to the pandemic situation major things have changed in the past 4 months’ period. "How do we work" or " our culture"?
Work from home has become norms for those, whose work permits. There may be few other role, who can work from home. Which would be happening in coming day.
Being flexible and adaptable is the new skill which an organization will be looking forward to, in a candidate's skills. As a candidate you need to learn /develop this new skill. That will be new norms.
Culture shift will be a major change in many organizations.
- Remote working, monitoring and allocation of work.
- Virtual engagement
are few items, which organization need to plan and develop a work flow.
The entire perception would need to be changed now. Work from home culture will stay on. We all needs to start the adapting to new style and being the new journey from cocoon to butterfly.
Some monetary benefit would be introduced like the Company may come up with new components in salary which will be added in the Cost to company (CTC).
We usually give joining bonuses to candidates. Now we may come up with Work from Home amount to candidate. This amount would be used to set up a mini office at home for working.
This may include purchasing stationery items, office furniture, telephone, internet connection.
Monthly component will be increased by adding work from home(WFH) allowance. It depends on company to company and time will tell us.
It is high time we accept the revolution in terms of work culture and be equipped until another pandemic even more severe may strike in future. Time and effort is money in the business world. So it is logical we imbibe the alternate mechanisms of ensuring smooth run of the job roles even when not being physically present at the workplace.
I will end my note with another quote

4 å¹´Good one Jaikumar P Indeed, nothing is permanent! I have no doubt that this change will bring positive outcome. WFH will allow people to stay in their hometown and take care of their parents and loved ones. This move will compliment 'vocal for local' as the local business will flourish. Tier1 cities will be less crowded too. Hope organisations will take right decisions and encourage WFH culture for mutual benefit.
