Cultural Transformation and Our Commitment to the 3 C’s

Cultural Transformation and Our Commitment to the 3 C’s

In financial technology, transformation is everything. If your products and services aren’t driving change in the marketplace, you’ll soon be obsolete.

But the need for a transformative approach doesn’t stop with technology. It’s also an imperative part of each company’s ongoing cultural journey.

At FIS, it’s been one year since we shared our new brand, purpose and transformation story with the world. Around this time, we also began examining our current culture against the organization’s strategic needs, receiving input from over 28,000 team members to identify key themes that would provide a framework for the future.

The process helped us unite colleagues behind our transformation agenda, working together to deliver on our company’s purpose: “To help businesses and communities thrive by advancing commerce and the financial world.”

The result of it all? Today, we’re more focused than ever on having our FIS values guide our relationships among colleagues, clients and communities (which includes shareholders, partners and the places we live and work).

If you are an FIS colleague, client or community member, here’s our commitment to you:

For Our 3 C’s, We Strive To …

·        Win as one team: We work together, connecting to achieve outcomes with speed. We are inclusive and embrace our diverse strengths. We make things happen and celebrate together.

·        Lead with integrity: We’re accountable and work in a way that makes us proud. We empower one another to take ownership. We have the courage to be open and transparent — to build trust.

·        Be the change: We challenge each other to improve and simplify the way things are done. We’re innovative and dynamic in how we develop ideas to solutions. We give back to make a positive impact on the world.

To me, these bold, simple-to-remember values distinctly define what is unique about FIS. They resonate with me personally, and I hope they connect deeply with you as well.

Better Experiences

Building on the ideas above, we want the FIS culture to shine through in all our relationships with our colleagues, clients and communities. And we’re doing this by striving for better experiences that are:

·        Always connecting: We deliver experiences that create connections and bridge gaps across geographies, linking people and technologies seamlessly.

·        Always solving: We deliver secure, relevant and innovative experiences for today’s and tomorrow’s needs, solving for the success of our colleagues, clients and communities.

·        Always insightful: We deliver experiences that leverage shared expertise to present valuable insights and stories in a clear, cohesive and intuitive way.

·        Always simple: We deliver experiences that cut through complexity, function with speed and are streamlined for ease.

Closing Thought

Company culture isn’t limited to the walls of an office (or a house these days). Instead …

“Culture is the glue that holds it all together.” — Gary Norcross, FIS chairman, president and CEO

I love our 3 C’s - colleagues, clients and communities! I think FIS is focused on just the right things! It’s also very nice to see Worldpay and FIS cultures come together as one!

I’m always impressed, Tere Brun! I remember very clearly why #FIS stood out to me. Hands down it was learning about your company values and #companyculture. Often, culture can be overlooked and undervalued. Company culture is a huge driver in employee satisfaction, which has a direct impact on client satisfaction! Way to go! Wonderful article. #impactful #bethechange #goals
