Many employees fear AI due to concerns about job security, skill redundancy, and reduced human decision-making roles. These fears are partly rooted in the historical impact of automation, where machines have previously replaced jobs (particularly in working class areas like Wales). However, fear of the unknown also plays a role, as AI is rapidly evolving and often misunderstood. While some jobs may change or disappear, AI also has the potential to create new roles, streamline processes, and enhance productivity. The impact largely depends on how organisations balance AI integration with upskilling and job evolution for employees. So I while think ?? the fears of employees aren’t entirely misplaced, they can be substantially reduced by understanding AI’s potential benefits and developing new skills to help exploit the opportunities this transition creates
