The fear is here... but we push on!

I feel like every month I start with "WOW what a month" but this month it really does apply. 830 subscribers now to this newsletter, what! I won't bore you with life drama (car still stolen and she did a few burglaries - not with me driving of course, plus the new house isn't ready yet!) instead let's get onto the very exciting, scary and life-fulfilling stuff that is the world of EdTech and helping children who are neurodiverse.

  1. Our timetable launches on 17th April

This has been and continues to be a lot of hard work, people, processes, systems, new tools, marketing and more. But we are there. The website (www.gaialearning.co.uk ) has had an overall and we are starting some PPC ad's next week for supporting students with ADHD. Our full timetable is here and we're only taking 12 children per class in years 1-9 whilst also running GCSE revision classes, ADHD Coaching and 1:1 tuition.. and breathe.

2. ADHD Coaching continues to be a success

Kirstin has been delivering ADHD coaching sessions with parents and children. We've found it to be super powerful coaching the parents separate to the child and then doing some group work also. This complements the Academic Coaching package the student may be on, or the classes they are part of. It's all of the elements working together. Find out more here .

3. The fear is here

We (Kirstin and I) take our responsibilities towards the kids we support, the parents, and the team incredibly seriously. As in, it keeps me awake at night and entirely contributes towards my state of burnout (I'm working on it!) if you saw my post from last week. But this drives me, us to do better, work smarter, find the best tools (more on this soon!) and deliver to the highest standard. However, we do need some help! We haven't gone out looking for funding for Gaia Learning just yet - but we need to! If you're interested in helping address a global problem of inequalities in education and supporting children with ADHD, private investors... slide into my DM's! ;-)

4. Global, this is global.

The challenges we are tackling with parents, families and schools exist worldwide. This global community of children with additional needs is real and we are providing and holding the space to make bring them together and share solutions. You're welcome to join our Facebook group here .

Finally, thanks for all of your messages of support. I know I don't know everyone on this mailing list, but I promise you every little like, love, share, celebration, support and comment makes a huge difference and keeps us going.

Please keep in touch

All the best

Kate (full of Flu in bed, grrr)
