As we ventured into Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad), a non-IT hub, we would like to share our learning on human behavior?( hired people )?and unique cultural dynamics.?
One of the things that is important to know is you just cannot ask people to leave, it is just not acceptable. You end up giving more time, asking other colleagues to support non performance cases. So the best bet is they resign and leave.?
Most of the attrition cases for us have been migration to cities like Pune, Hyderabad and Benguluru. The package is good as they need to live in expensive cities. Some of them get into multinationals so they have a brand association.?
Handling underperformance requires tailored approaches, distinct from metro city experiences. HR and management needs different?training and techniques altogether. None of the expert coaches or metro experience will work. Our belief is personality assessment during intake can help to identify potential human behavioral issues.

Another noticeable observation is that a few have challenges to report into female colleagues. More to do with culture as not much females steps out for work. People, especially males, dominate in numbers at the workplace and prefer females to be homemakers. If the person you hired has not seen any of his female family members work. Such people take time to adjust and some don’t digest the fact that they need to report in to a female colleague. It is not their fault, we need more women working to bring in that change. Increasing women's participation in the workforce will help bridge this gap. We firmly believe eventually that will happen.
Providing space for prayer :
since there was nothing close by. Important decision here was to take care of their spiritual requirement, in order to save time on commute and one less thing to worry about, so we arranged a space for prayers which is not normal for IT companies.
Did this help, not really whether it is a good workplace or place of worship there is nothing that entices people over personal goals. It is too late for employers to bring the change and you need this to happen at a larger number.?
