A Cultural Extravaganza

Pongal, the harvest festival of Tamil Nadu, was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at sns college of nursing. The event, organized by the cultural committee, aimed to bring students and staff together to honor tradition and showcase the vibrant Tamil culture.

The festivities began with a traditional puja,where students and faculty gathered to offer prayers and express gratitude for the harvest. The aroma of freshly prepared pongal, a sweet rice dish, filled the air, symbolizing prosperity and unity.

The campus came alive with vibrant decorations, including traditional kolams (Rangoli) made by students. Cultural performances were the highlight of the day. A music, ensemble performed classical and folk songs, adding to the festive atmosphere. Traditional games such as tug-of-war, uri adi (Pot breaking) were organized, bringing a sense of joy and excitement. These activities not only entertained but also gave students a chance to reconnect with their roots.
