When considering how to answer a question about women bringing empathy into the work environment I reflected on why this is a ‘female’ job.??How can you use greater empathy in organizational change, best practices, and improve the bottom line?

I took a systems thinking approach to broaden the question and introduce practical ways different roles in the organization can boost empathy to enhance employee performance and positively impact ROI.?

The roles below include: CEO, Team Member, Leadership Coach, HR, Employee Engagement,? Communications, Continued Improvement, Diversity and Inclusion, PR, and Corporate Social Responsibility.?

You can see each role has the opportunity to use empathy and see how it is connected to the greater sense of an organization’s culture whereby everyone has the opportunity to be empathetic.

Here are practical tips to boost empathy in your organization in a variety of roles:
