Cuet : welcome to the unknown?
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET), earlier known as Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET)is an all-India test being organized by National Testing Agency for admission to various Undergraduate, Integrated, Postgraduate, Diploma, Certification courses and Research Programmes in 45 Central Universities of India. It is also accepted by number of other State Universities and Deemed universities in India.?
CUET Exam is conducted to provide equal opportunities to all the students to prove themselves by getting admission into their preferred colleges after class 12. The Education Minister has made it compulsory to conduct the CUCET Entrance test to reduce the weightage of class 12 examination marks.?
I , Devyani Mengi, currently a literature student at Lady Shri Ram College for Women was a part of the first batch to give the cuet exam. The main thing that helped me and would help you is very cliché but it’s basically the age old practice of absorbing the NCERT textbook like a sponge . My goal was to always get into LSR and without Anubhav sir and his team it would’ve never been possible . They supported me throughout my journey and helped me make informed decisions. They helped me meticulously go through the application process which was extremely detailed .They reminded me of deadlines and helped me with my preference list which ultimately got me into my dream college. Apart from that I also took personal coaching from Anubhav sir for the general test portion of the cuet exam. It was one of the best decisions I ever took. GT which was threatening to all was a piece of cake for me. Apart from learning the ncert by heart I also did a lot of papers from sample paper books . The more I practiced the better I grasped the concept. Ultimately I took on cuet not like a challenge but as any other exam which didn’t let me stress much over the exam. For someone who was always told that boards were the be all and end all and the deciding factor of my fate , cuet felt absolutely like a black hole I was being sucked into. Thanks to Anubhav sir and his guidance i understood the new concept of cuet quite easily when he?broke it down for me which gave me an edge over other students. My advice to everyone appearing for it this year would be to have a stable and sound head?on their shoulders . I also recommend seeking out advice from the correct mentors , having a proper routine for studying and tests and most importantly treating yourself with a break often. At the end of the day cuet is just another exam so there’s no need to panic! All the best!!
