CUET-UG IN HYBRID MODE SET TO START, NTA ISSUES DOS AND DON’TS
The first hybrid mode ( pen-paper and computer-based) common university entrance test-undergraduate (CUET-UG) 2024 will commence from Wednesday for which the national testing agency has issued some important instructions, which include that 40 out of 50 questions are to be attempted in all subjects except in general test and 50 out of 60 questions are to be attempted in general test.
In the event of a candidate attempting more questions than required only the stipulated attempted questions will be considered for evaluation. Moreover, during the shift break, candidates who have exams in the next shift will not be allowed to go outside the center’s premises. Candidates are also asked to ensure that they match the test booklet code and OMR code to ensure that they have the same code, for example p1 and p1 or a1 and a1.
This year, over 13.4 lakh candidates have registered for the common entrance test for admission to 261 central universities, states, and deemed and private universities for undergraduate admissions. Du, Banaras Hindu University, and BabasahebBhimraoAmbedkarUniversity, Lucknow received the highest number of applications respectively.

Common for all exams conducted by NTS, inCUET too. No bio-break will allowed during the exam.
Among other points to remember, NTS officials must reach the center at the time indicated against the reporting/entry time in the admit card and no candidate shall be permitted to enter the center after the gate closing time. Moreover, even if they complete their test before time, candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination room before the end of the examination time.
Blank paper sheets for rough work will not provided in the examination hall and rough work is to be done in the space provided for purpose in the test booklet itself.
At the end of the exam, candidates are allowed to take away only the booklet. The OMR sheet and admit cards is to be handed over to the invigilator and it is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that the OMR sheet submitted by him/her carries his/her signature as well as the signature of the invigilator at the predetermined space.
