Introduction:

Rogers CuClad 217 laminates are composite materials consisting of woven fiberglass and precisely controlled PTFE. They are designed with a cross-plied construction, providing both electrical and mechanical isotropy within the plane. The low fiberglass/PTFE ratio in CuClad 217 results in the lowest dielectric constant (Dk) and dissipation factor available in fiberglass reinforced PTFE based laminates. These unique properties contribute to faster signal propagation and higher signal/noise ratios.


Features & Benefits

Rogers CuClad 217 offers a low dielectric constant of 2.17 or 2.20, allowing for wider line widths and lower insertion loss in PCB designs. It exhibits a low dissipation factor of 0.0009 at 10 GHz, making it suitable for high-frequency applications due to the low circuit losses.

This material has low moisture absorption and out-gassing properties, ensuring dimensional stability and reliability in various environmental conditions. CuClad 217 maintains a stable dielectric constant across a wide frequency range, providing consistent performance.


PCB Capability

We can provide you with single-sided, double-sided, multi-layer PCBs, as well as hybrid PCBs, offering options for copper weight including 1oz (35μm), 2oz (70μm), and 3oz (105μm).

Additionally, we can accommodate various dielectric thicknesses such as 10mil (0.254mm), 20mil (0.508mm), 31mil (0.787mm), and 62mil (1.575mm), while our capabilities cover PCB sizes up to 400mm X 500mm.

You can choose from a range of solder mask colors including green, black, blue, yellow, red, and more. Furthermore, we provide multiple surface finish options such as immersion gold, HASL, immersion silver, immersion tin, ENEPIG, OSP, bare copper, pure gold, and others.
