As a CEO of interior design companies based in Chennai and Hyderabad, how do you perceive the current scope and potential for growth in the South Indian market?

While interior design in Chennai is often viewed as a luxury, in Hyderabad, it's perceived as a necessity. Residents in cities like Mumbai and Delhi have embraced interior design as a crucial aspect of their lifestyle, and our mission is to instill the same understanding among homeowners in the South. We're committed to demonstrating how a well-designed and organized space can enhance productivity in both personal and professional spheres. South India presents a thriving market for the interior design industry, and we're poised to capitalize on its growth.

What roles do local culture and aesthetics play in shaping your design choices for clients in Chennai and Hyderabad??

Despite the stark differences in current culture between Chennai and Hyderabad, the deeply ingrained traditional sentiments associated with homes remain consistent. Residents of both cities share a profound emotional attachment to their homes, whether it's their first, personal, or rental property. In terms of design preferences, Hyderabad residents primarily prioritize Vastu principles, followed by aesthetics and then functionality. Conversely, Chennai residents prioritize functionality above all, followed by aesthetics and then Vastu considerations.?

However, regardless of city, we offer all our clients the privilege to select designs that align well with their lifestyle and reflect their personal preferences. We understand the importance of incorporating individual tastes into the design process to create spaces that truly resonate with our clients.

What are your thoughts on sustainability in interior design, and how is your company integrating eco-friendly practices?

I have immense respect for sustainable design practices and applaud the efforts of major players towards their net zero goals. Our company is currently in the process of exploring how we can effectively and swiftly integrate sustainable design solutions. Given the high level of client involvement in every decision made within our industry, we are actively educating ourselves on the best sustainable design practices through certifications such as LEED and IGBC, and engaging in discussions with leading practitioners. We are committed to making tangible contributions. Currently, our practice involves educating ourselves and our clients on the importance of sustainability.

Does technology play a role in enhancing your design processes and client interactions?

In today's landscape, technology plays a pivotal role across various industries, and for an industry as traditionally unorganized as ours, its integration is nothing short of a blessing. Our first foray into utilizing technology was through Virtual Reality (VR) for our clients. Communication between designers and clients has always posed a significant challenge, and VR has emerged as a transformative solution. It enables our designers to vividly showcase their ideas to clients, facilitating easier comprehension and aiding decision-making.?

Moreover, technology streamlines project management processes by enabling instant quotation generation, automated 2D detailing for designs, and other efficiencies. These tools allow designers to spend less time on administrative tasks and focus more on ideation and crafting unique designs for clients. Our project management tool is another crucial component, enabling seamless tracking and delivery of projects.?

We are exploring additional technological features, such as augmented reality (AR) to further improve customer experience and servicing.

How do you envision customers viewing your brand in 2030?

As a homegrown company, we haven't always had the luxury to invest extensively in customer experience. However, our relentless focus on delivering perfection in every promise has propelled our brand's success, leading to the establishment of a thriving branch in Hyderabad.

We're currently prioritizing investments aimed at improving customer experience and ensuring seamless, hassle-free home deliveries. We firmly believe that every individual deserves tranquility upon entering their home, and we're committed to realizing this vision. Looking ahead to 2030 and beyond, we're dedicated to addressing industry complexities to ensure that every client, regardless of their designer or team, receives a ‘blissful home’ experience.
