From center stage to cyber space

It's a story of how I pivoted from a career in theater arts and film to the world of technology. Buckle up, because it's going to be quite a ride!

Before we start, let me set the stage. I'm sitting on my balcony, the morning sun gently kissing my face ( I have been on this skincare routine for months so my face is glowing like a million fireflies he he) , with a steaming cup of coffee in hand. This humble beverage has become my loyal companion, fueling my relentless pursuit of knowledge on this wild cyber journey

In my undergraduate years, I was trained in theater arts and film. Back then, I had dreams of gracing the stage and the silver screen, basking in the spotlight of an actress's life. However, as fate would have it, life took me on a different path, one where I now find joy in witnessing other superstars shine on TV, cheering them on from the sidelines

So I began to sense a dwindling passion for acting, and a restless longing for something more meaningful. Seeking fulfillment and a new direction, I started a journey of exploration. It was during this time that I stumbled upon the world of technology. Admittedly, when I first shared my decision to study cybersecurity with a friend, she raised an eyebrow and said, "Tess, that's not really you. Can't you find something that truly embodies who you are?" Little did she know that her comment sparked a revelation within me. It became clear that this newfound path in tech was, in fact, a perfect fit for the person I had always been. It may sound a bit perplexing, but I'm sure you understand what I mean.

Starting on tech and cybersecurity was a game-changer for me. Suddenly, I found myself immersed in a field that ignited my curiosity and thirst for knowledge. It was like a whole new chapter of my life had begun. And guess what? I became an avid reader. Yes, you read that right! The girl who once dreamed of treading the boards now couldn't get enough of books, articles, and online resources about technology.

This journey of transformation has taught me invaluable lessons, and I want to share them with you. My main goal is to inspire those who feel unfulfilled in their current paths and are yearning for a change. Trust me, it's never too late to pivot and pursue your passions.

Oh, the countless gallons of coffee that have coursed through my veins, fueling my unwavering focus and insatiable drive to conquer this tech territory. And guess what? Am not only surviving, but I stand here today, eager to narrate to you tales of my escapades. It was through the rigorous and immersive programs I enrolled in? like the CyberGirls fellowship offered by CyberSafe Foundation that my new career began to take shape, and for that, I am immensely grateful.

Fast forward to today, where I find myself still immersed in the world of books, tutorials, and late-night study sessions. As a newbie in this cyber universe, I understand the importance of dedicating myself to continuous learning and growth. I remind myself daily that the road to mastery requires commitment and perseverance.
