CTO Live Surgery on NeuAngio DSA: Outstanding Image Quality, Low Radiation Dose

Chronic total occlusion (CTO) is caused by heavy build-up of plaque within a coronary artery. With a successful interventional procedure, improvements have been made for patients suffering from CTO.

Because this is an 85-year-old patient that presented two completely blocked vessels, treatment was challenging. The occlusion was heavily calcified and we tried to stabilize blood pressure to complete the procedure. The patient was fortunate to have a great cardiology team and the new system to treat the problem. The operation was successful.”

Professor Nie Bin of Zhejiang University School of Medicine added that “in addition to image clarity, we also had concerns about the dose of radiation. Today, I was amazed by Neusoft Medical’s angiography system. It took me about two hours to complete the first CTO procedure, including fluoroscopy time. The total radiation dose was only 1500 mGy, which should be a first-class level worldwide.”??????????????????
