CTO @ District

CTO @ District

Startups are inherently risky - they bet that they can disrupt an industry's 800 pound gorillas that have: industry experts, market share, a customer base, and tons of resources to maintain their lead.

So how do great startups win? They de-risk. District is just a few months into their journey to become the future of commercial mortgage lending. But here is how they plan to win:

  • Incorporate industry expertise that understand the challenges tech can address - Nav, Arash and Bill have 30+ years combined Real Estate experience.
  • Experienced founders that know how to build startups - this team built RealtyShares, a platform that deployed almost $1B in capital for commercial real estate.
  • Target a big market opportunity - the Middle Market Commercial Real Estate Lending industry is a $250B opportunity
  • Have a path to revenue - District is just a few months old and is on track to generate ~$250k in 2018
  • Build technology to drive the business - Is this you?

As CTO, your role at District is to build the future of commercial mortgage lending - an integrated end to end platform. You will:

  • Partner with industry experts with > 30 years of combined real estate experience to build District into an industry changing tech platform
  • Own the roadmap, systems & infrastructure, build an engineering team
  • Use your business acumen to build technology that drives a business
  • Give product insights to define the business requirements for the eng team - build an engineering process to deliver reliably
  • Decide on a tech stack and architecture for this greenfield project
  • Use ML/ AI to build the first-ever product that makes commercial real estate lending a digital and efficient process
  • Build and lead an engineering team in SF and DC
