CT Brief – Issue 76
Welcome to the latest edition of the CT Brief
As we write this introduction, the world appears to be entering a period of greater uncertainty as a result of global political developments. These developments will likely lead to a greater demand upon the services many of our clients provide. They remain beacons of hope for many during challenging times.
In that vein, we hear from three such organisations making a meaningful impact. From supporting victims of torture to promoting peace through initiatives like Solutions Not Sides, these groups work tirelessly to heal divides and foster a more compassionate world. We also examine the ethical considerations surrounding artificial intelligence as the technology evolves.
Across the rest of the issue, we hear about some of the challenges and opportunities arising from changes in regulation. From a housing perspective, we look at the early outcomes of consumer regulation, lessons learned, and how poor performance can be tackled. We focus on housing safety, shedding light on the issues of damp and mould, and discussing how improved resident engagement can lead to lasting change. Meanwhile, with the Football Governance Bill making its way through Parliament, we explore the exciting changes coming to the beautiful game and how we can prepare for these transformations.
Amidst the challenges, it’s refreshing to see so many are still dedicated and focused on helping others. We’re grateful to the writers and contributors for their insight and commitment, and we hope the discussions in this issue inspire you as much as they have us.
Long may this spirit of dedication, support, and progress continue.
