CSR project - Temporary home for families in Erd?kertes

In 2022, our Hungarian site began supporting a new organization: the temporary home in Erd?kertes, where 12 families live with 30 children under the age of 18. The home is a 10-minute drive from our office. The goal of this home is to protect and support families in crises and need, specifically the mothers with children escaping abusive relationships and homes. Most of the time they arrive with nothing, and the temporary home provides furnished apartments, access to a local kindergarten and public school, and other necessary supplies.

Our first event was a fundraiser in April so these?families would be able to provide Easter sweets for their children. The Hungarian?Gexpro Services team collected and donated more than 30 Easter packages (chocolate eggs and bunnies, other sweets) for the temporary home, so the children’s holiday could be happier and sweeter this year! The surprise on the temporary home leader’s face when she first saw the presents, we donated brought us almost as much joy as the children who benefitted!

Since several of our employees are working from home and many colleagues still wanted to support the temporary home after Easter, we decided to extend the collection. The second round of donations will be delivered to the home this week and includes baby supplies, clothes, hygiene products, cleaning products, etc. The Hungarian branch is very committed. Our team will continue to support the temporary homes and organize more fundraisers in the future.
