CSR : L&T Technology Services organises Science Quiz & Model Making Competition

Competitions improve one’s knowledge of things. They are designed to promote, a fun way to study and in the process helps improving one’s general knowledge. These competitions enable students to think from different angles or simply “to think out of the box”. Some educational institutes use it as a brief assessment or tool to measure the growth in the knowledge, abilities and / or skills of their pupils on either a general level or restricted to specific fields for instance, science, mathematics etc.

On 20 March 2018, L&T Technology Services and STEM Learning conducted a Science Quiz & Model Making Competition Gala event - Under "Naya Savera - A CSR Initiative of L&T Technology Services" at NMMC School No. 76, Ghansoli. Total 480 students from three schools participated in the event. Ms. Aruna Ranganathan- CSR Manager, L&T Technology Services graced the occasion. In felicitation event, she emphasised the importance of Science & Technology education. She encouraged the students to pursue Engineering and join L&T.

Mr. Ashutosh Pandit, Managing Director STEM Learning made the occasion overwhelming by his presence. He quoted, “We are always there to help students & teachers. We encourage students to use technology to the fullest. There are plenty of career opportunities in basic Science & I students to check them out.”

Students from Ghansoli thanked L&T and STEM Learning for conducting the competition and for motivating them to perform well in other such events. Teachers there were so grateful for the initiative taken by both the teams and mentioned that earlier there was less exposure to practical learning but because of Mini Science Centre & Competitions, students are exposed to the real practical competitive world.

L&T & STEM Learning put the efforts to kindle scientific temperament among underprivileged students. L&T Technology Services is committed to promoting a culture of caring, trust, and continuous learning, while meeting the expectations of all stakeholders and the world at large. They undertake several transformational initiatives that contribute towards community empowerment and all-round societal development.
