What do you do at your company, and in what circumstances would I come to you for something?
As a Sales Manager at MarineTeknik Inc., my primary responsibility is to establish and maintain relationships with both new and existing customers. I serve as a point of contact for clients who are interested in our products and services.
What's the biggest misconception people have about your position?
One common misconception about my role as a Sales Manager is that it revolves solely around pushing sales and forcing customers to buy our products or services.
While sales are an essential part of my job, my primary focus is on building strong relationships and understanding the unique needs of our clients. By fostering trust and providing valuable solutions, I aim to create long-term partnerships.
Has your company got any upcoming projects that you can talk about?
Absolutely! One of the most exciting upcoming projects for us is CSI Miami, where we have assembled a dream team from Europe. The CSI Expo gives us a significant opportunity for collaboration and to showcase our capabilities on an international scale. We are thrilled to be a part of it and look forward to delivering outstanding results.
What has been your favourite project to work on?
Among the various projects I have had the pleasure to work on, one of my favourites was the Celebrity Video Wall and Cabin refurbishment on RCG. It was a rewarding experience to contribute to enhancing the guest experience on the cruise ship.
What behaviour or personality trait do you most attribute your success to, and why?
If I were to attribute my success to one behaviour or personality trait, it would be my strong work ethic. I firmly believe that consistent hard work, dedication, and perseverance are essential for achieving long-term goals.
Could you share the most significant obstacle you have faced in your career so far, particularly in cruise work?
The most significant obstacle I encountered in my career, especially in the cruise industry, was the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. It had a profound impact on the entire cruise industry, forcing us to adapt and learn new ways of operating to survive.
What inspired you to pursue this field of work?
I was inspired to pursue a career in this field by my passion for travel, meeting new people, and exploring diverse cultures. The cruise industry offers a unique opportunity to experience different destinations while working closely with clients and delivering exceptional experiences to cruise ship passengers.

What's one thing most people don't know about you?
One thing that most people don't know about me is that I speak four languages! Additionally, I have a keen interest in cars and motorcycles, and my hobby is playing disc golf!
What are the most significant changes you have seen in the Cruise Interior sector since you started, and what emerging trends do you foresee shaping its future?
Since I started in 2003, I have witnessed significant changes in the Cruise Interior sector. Projects have evolved from being small and intimate to larger and faster-paced. There has also been a noticeable shift in technology and material usage, incorporating innovative solutions to enhance the guest experience. Looking ahead, I foresee emerging trends such as sustainable materials, smart technologies, and passenger customization options shaping the future of the Cruise Interior sector.
Do you have a fun fact or piece of advice about your company/industry that you can share?
My advice would be that we are all under the same umbrella, so let's keep us all dry when it rains!
What makes you different from your competitors?

If you could recommend only one of your products, what would it be?
One product that I would highly recommend is our LED solutions. LED technology offers energy efficiency, durability, and versatility, making it a valuable addition to any cruise interior project. It provides exceptional lighting experiences while reducing energy consumption, contributing to a sustainable and visually appealing environment.
What kind of questions do you ask before beginning a project, and which piece of information is of utmost value in planning a successful project?
Before starting a project, I ask questions to gather essential information. Some key questions include understanding the project's timeline, budget, and specific requirements. However, the piece of information that holds the utmost value in planning a successful project is the material lead times and logistics readiness.
What goals have you met so far in 2023? Or, what goals/milestones are you working to meet this year?
In 2023, one of our primary goals is to further enhance our clients' comfort and satisfaction. We strive to exceed their expectations by delivering exceptional customer service and tailored solutions. Additionally, we are working towards expanding our client base and strengthening our position as a leading provider of cruise interior solutions.
