CRZ Celebrates Annual Labour Day Awards in Style

Last Friday, Copper Rose Zambia (CRZ) hosted its annual Labour Day Awards event, celebrating our exceptional employees and recognizing their hard work across various departments. This annual event, held every May, underscores our commitment to fostering a workplace where every staff member feels valued and appreciated.

We honored achievements in several categories, including the Most Hardworking Award, Best Newcomer Award, Value Champion Award, Most Innovative Award, and the prestigious Most Outstanding Award, presented to one exemplary individual.

Our CEO, Dr. Natasha, emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration within our team. She beautifully illustrated this by comparing our organization to a body, where each part, regardless of its perceived importance, is vital to our collective success.

As our Board Chair, Dr. Cheswa M. Vwalika highlighted, the Labour Day Awards are not just about recognizing hard work; they reflect CRZ’s core values and our unwavering commitment to empowering youth. “Let us continue to embody these values in all we do, ensuring we empower every individual to thrive.”

Our Deputy CEO closed the event with an inspiring African quote: "Celebrate the harvest with plenty, but never forget the moments of planting seeds in the soil for unity is strength, division is weakness." Together, we have proven our strength, and together, we will continue to thrive.

CRZ staff pose with Matero Boys High School pupils during the Menstrual Hygiene Day Commemoration

Building a #periodfriendlyworld for Zambian Girls!

Our CRZ booth showcased a variety of resources, including:

? Educational materials on self-care, reproductive health, and gender equality

? Reusable menstrual pads, sanitary napkins, and menstrual cups

These resources provided valuable information and tools to help students manage their menstrual health effectively.

Creating a Supportive Environment:

The theme, "#PeriodFriendlyWorld," emphasized the importance of menstrual hygiene management (MHM). Activities like a match past, panel discussion, and exhibition fostered open and confident discussions about menstrual health.

Together We Can Make a Difference:

The participation of FHN, MCGL, and CRZ demonstrates their commitment to improving MHM in Zambia. Their collaboration helps educate young girls and creates a supportive environment for menstrual health conversations.
