CryptoManiac: IronHack Bootcamp

I finally started to learn to code full time.

It’s been five weeks since I started my full time web developer coding bootcamp with @ironhack

For more than 15 years I have been working in tech companies as a founder and having a few successes along the way, and plenty of failures of different types and colors :)

Oh yes, I can say I have been learning a lot of ways on how NOT to do things.

I worked in sales, business development, operations roles, new business projects, did fundraising, learned whole new industries from scratch, and been in tech accelerators in San Francisco, BUT honestly I could never really help on building the tech products with my own hands.?

There were many excuses on the way, I don’t have the time, I will never be good at it if I start too late… bla bla bla.

And yes, I am not saying that in a few weeks I can do the work of a software engineer or have the same knowledge, I am just saying that it feels absolutely great to be able to understand and be able to build tech products with my own hands.?

I am learning Javascript, HTML, CSS and using tools like Node.js, MongoDB, Express. When the bootcamp ends we will be using React as JS Library to build full stack applications.

I wanted to open my learning process today with my first project I named CryptoManiac.?

It was built in 4 days during the third week of the bootcamp. It is a game of a main character which has to grab 3 bitcoins in less than 15 seconds to WIN.?

Quick comment: only for PC, and with keyboard, not working on smartphones yet and with some issues in responsiveness with some browsers.

Give it a try here! All feedback welcomed!

Ps. I will be refactoring my code to modify some bad practices. like having a constant named c, when it should be called $canvas. Also, we were not using modular pattern design in the second week. You will see better code in future projects I share. :)

Happy coding!
