Affectionately known as “The Bitcoin Lady,” Alakanani is an advocate for crypto education and development in Botswana. She speaks about cryptocurrency at conferences and is recognized as an international bitcoin influencer.?
A bitcoin miner and enthusiast, Alakanani believes in the power of cryptocurrency to change lives of people, especially in her native city of Gaborone. She helps people in her community with crypto basics such as setting up a wallet, changing fiat money into cryptocurrencies and how to invest. Her Satoshi Centre provides startups and developers with mentorship, training and coding bootcamps to aide in the adoption of blockchain technology in order for them to create solutions to some of the problems in Africa.
