Crypto Fuels Global Disinformation Networks Ahead of 2024 Elections

2024 is set to be the largest global election year in history. Citizens in the United States, Brazil, Pakistan, India and Indonesia are going to or have gone to the polls.

?Disinformation thrives in this environment. Around elections, malign foreign actors will conduct systemic influence campaigns to sow chaos, division, and confusion. Action must be taken against them because that could interfere with their democratic processes.

So what does crypto have to do with elections?

Crypto which is based on blockchain technology is being used to fund the disinformation. Blockchain is a fully traceable system which means that crypto transactions are transparent financing that connects people, places, and things. Using crypto tracing technology, investigators can connect transactions to groups and individuals and discover who’s behind these campaigns, as well as who’s supporting them and shut them down!

Intelligence from blockchain data platform Chainalysis revealed the cryptocurrency nexus in a report released on July 24 confirming that crypto is used to finance and facilitate disinformation operations.?

It revealed the networks of actors, from Russian media outlets to paramilitary groups. They include:

?SouthFront: A Russian disinformation media outlet

? Iranian media outlet called Islamic World News (ISWN)

? Russian paramilitary groups and military bloggers

? Recently sanctioned Russian agents

?Chainalysis’ intelligence also highlighted the technologies and services powered by crypto payments that are used to spread disinformation. They include:

  • Services selling stolen social media accounts
  • Web hosting services
  • Virtual number services for receiving verification texts/calls.

This report should be useful for policymakers, investigators, and tech professionals around the world including Singapore - which will soon hold a national election – to use the blockchain technology to stop the disinformation campaigns.

Action is urgently needed especially international cooperation to combat the cross-border threats to address crypto's role in disinformation.

LOL, maybe MSM should start to broadcast honest news iso saying what they are paid for. People wouldn't revert to alternative news sources. You really think they don't realize someone is dictating what the media should say? Every broadcaster even uses the same wording, you can play them together and have a choir. Do you think that is normal? LOL! It never was and never will be. Long live independent media! Where-ever on earth.

(continued) I would be most honored for you to visit my work and to join our discussion. ? In a nutshell, one principle?defines nature;?Robust Entanglement.?Nothing truly collides.? ? Understanding nature in this way allows us to realize energy in four new ways; to experience atomic interactions, chemistries, mathematics, physics in a new way; to educate our children and adults better, as we come to understand the human condition and nature better; and finally, to understand the physical connection of me to you, you to me.? ? Now would you to please join me and 188 distinguished faculty, academicians and theologians, and industry professionals, some of which are listed in "letter of invitation" under my profile.?There are five discussions you may join: physics & mathematics; and four discussions "downstream,"?including theology, diet & disease, aging & evolution, education and cognition, in light of this one principle. ? Entanglement becomes this process where symmetries form in space, from some tension that exists, forming specific and unique fine structures or energy, ... ... there's more MARK applied physics

Crypto currency and blockchain technology is a wonderful part of our surveillance state,... but who's surveilling us? We've had a media that is controlled in the hands of a so very few, otherwise we'd all know that as few as 200 men now control as much as 60 trillion in assets. But how did this happen, how did we get this far away? To keep men spending and buying their products, they spoke softly and calmly, telling us there was no inflation, as they taught our business schools and iterated through their owned medias that inflation did not exist, through metrics developed over time in 3 subsidized markets of energy, transportation and agriculture, all the while taking us off the gold standard in 1971, giving us runaway inflation in plant, equipment, land, homes, cars. A home, a car in 1971 cost $14,000 & $1,200 respectively. Today that home, that car cost $1.5 Million & $60k. To further the overdevelopment of the natural world, they publicized gold rushes. To rid ourselves of the native presence, they developed homesteading giving land away and created the dept of interior, to slaughter the natives food source and hid the Lost Tribes of Israel's presence in America. Let us return to the farms of old MARK applied physics
