Ledger, a French crypto wallet business, plans to use The Sandbox to teach people about crypto security.
Hardware cryptocurrency wallet maker Ledger has teamed up with blockchain game The Sandbox to encourage crypto education in the game's virtual universe.
Non-Fungible Conference keynote speaker Ian Rogers confirmed the news on Monday. That agreement, he claimed, will help secure The Sandbox and provide Ledger a platform from which to teach people about cryptocurrency.
As part of the cooperation, Rogers said that Ledger would equip SAND owners with unique Ledger Nanos.
According to Rogers, the partnership's most critical component will be educating the public on security issues. He made the following statement:
That's why we want to make sure that everyone has the information they should be safe and effectively handle this great right and ability that individuals have of self-custody."
"Self-custody is a liberating experience, but it also comes with significant responsibilities. Rogers went on to say, "You must take it very seriously if you want to preserve that right and not lose it."
If you're interested in learning more about this cooperation, Ledger has said that additional information will be released in the future.
As a leading manufacturer and marketer of hardware crypto wallets, Ledger is a significant player in the market. Beyond standard cryptocurrencies such As bitcoin (BTC), the French business has been aggressively extending its operations to accommodate nonfungible tokens. A new hardware wallet from Ledger, the Ledger Nano S Plus, supports NFTs by design and will be available in a limited edition starting in early March.
